What Are FGIA Members Thankful For?
Happy November! It has been a busy season for the industry, as you can tell from social media. In the last month alone, the FGIA Fall Conference took place, followed by ASTM meetings, GlassBuild and the NFRC conference. On top of those, the FGIA IG Fabricators Workshop happened this week at the Intertek facility in Plano, TX. It has been a busy time, but things are about to wind down for the holidays!
With all this busyness, we’d like to pause to ask what FGIA members are thankful for this year. Respond to this question in the comments section, or on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram, and FGIA will share your responses with our social media followers at the end of November. Canada’s Thanksgiving has already passed and the U.S. will be celebrating soon, so it’s a perfect time to reflect on what we’re all thankful for!
Personally, I am thankful for scheduling tools like Hootsuite, which just keeps getting better. I used it to post those prompts on our four major platforms asking folks for what they are giving thanks. You can use this tool to customize posts for your many platforms, including tagging people on each one even if they have different handles on various platforms.
You can post immediately, or you can schedule your post to go live at a later date and time. I like to schedule posts in batches, spending 15-30 minutes planning a week’s worth of posts at once. Be sure to monitor posts once they go up so you can track comments and engagement.
Again, let us know your response to our Thanksgiving prompt so we can share it with our followers!
