All the Things to Watch for on Social Media During the FGIA Annual Conference
Are you going to be in Amelia Island for the FGIA Annual Conference? Even if you can’t be on site, you can still keep up with highlights on social media. The Annual Conference is our biggest event each year, and it’s when we get the chance to recognize our members for their contributions, their tenure with the organization and more. Here are five things to watch out for on social media during the event, taking place February 19-22.
A Tribute to Rich Walker: During Opening General Session, FGIA will be sharing a video of members who knew Rich Walker, former President and CEO of AAMA. Once this tribute is shared at the event, it will be made available online!
Tenure Awards: Several FGIA members are celebrating milestone anniversaries of association membership (including 60 years, for one member in particular!). FGIA will be recognizing these companies during Opening General Session. Watch for a photo album of winners with their awards on social media.
Annual Awards Winner Announcements: On Tuesday night, set up notifications on X (formerly Twitter) for FGIA’s posts to be the first to know who wins in each of the six award categories. A full video of the awards will be available online the following day.
Instagram Story from the IG Forensics Workshop: On Monday, several participants will attend a workshop called, “Discovering Issues Before They Become Problems | Hands-on Workshop for Insulating Glass Forensic Analysis.” As FGIA has done with previous hands-on sessions, we will be sharing updates live on Instagram and saving them as a complete Story to view later. Find it pinned to the top of our Instagram profile.
Live-tweeted Sessions and Speakers: Throughout the conference, FGIA will be posting live updates on X from various sessions, including our keynote speaker, Ken Gronbach. Ken is a demographer who will be sharing information about how business owners can use demographic data to their advantage.
And, as always, we will be thanking our generous event sponsors throughout the week across platforms. Be sure to follow FGIA on X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads!
