Build Your Soft Skills | Register for the FGIA Leadership Development Program
It’s that time of year when we resolve to do better – for example, I have decided to invest more time in my health and wellness in 2021! If you started the new year with a resolution to advance your career or further develop your skills, FGIA provides an avenue for working toward those goals. The FGIA Leadership Development Program focuses on the soft skills a leader needs to achieve his or her full potential.
Leadership is influence. The Leadership Development Program will help you connect, influence and lead. Registration is now available for the third installment of the program which begins in April 2021.
Everyone in the workforce develops hard skills required to be employed in the fenestration and glazing industry, but mastering soft skills, such as communicating effectively with people, recognizing and effectively aligning with a company’s culture and understanding accountability in the workplace, provides the necessary intangibles to become a great leader.
Led by Oak Moser, a leadership coach with Coaching 2 Connect, this professional education offering is a legacy program of the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) that continues to be offered by FGIA. The program offers interactive online sessions and a customized experience. Through a minimal monthly time commitment, participants will not only learn valuable skills but also how to apply them in their daily professional and personal lives. The live 45-50-minute presentations are followed by 15-20 minutes for questions, and Oak is able to respond to questions from an industry perspective, due to over 30 years of experience managing glass manufacturing facilities.
The cost to register is discounted to $1,200 per person for FGIA members. (Non-members pay $1,800.) Quantity discounts are available, as well as customized registration options for previous participants. Email Education@FGIAonline.org to learn more.
Adina Dobre, a previous program participant, shared how the FGIA Leadership Development Program helped her grow.
