The members of AAMA and IGMA chose to merge in 2020. Their intent for the new alliance was to bring exponential value to its members today and even more in the ever-changing future.
AAMA and IGMA are proud to work together, combining the distinct strengths and knowledge of both organizations to better serve the glass and fenestration industries.
In 2019, the boards of AAMA and IGMA voted to unify into one organization, the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance, or FGIA. FGIA became the official trade association for both our industries on Jan. 1, 2020. Here’s to a bright, clear future for us all!
The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) is the source of performance standards, product certification and educational programs for the fenestration industry. Founded in 1936, AAMA is the leading trade association representing over 300 members producing window, door, skylight, sloped glazing, curtain wall and storefront products and components for both the residential and commercial construction markets across North America.
The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) is the North American association of insulating glass manufacturers, suppliers of component materials and other industryrelated professionals dedicated to upgrading product performance by promoting awareness of technological developments in the industry. In 2000, IGMA was created as a result of a successful merger between the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Association of Canada (IGMAC) and the Sealed Insulating Glass Manufacturers Association (SIGMA).
