Did you hear the news? There is a new (the third!) edition of FenestrationMasters®, FGIA’s flagship education program. This was an ongoing project for me throughout 2024, and I am glad to see it revealed to the world. If you aren’t aware, FenestrationMasters is a professional certification and education program that covers the full breadth of our industry, including performance standards, products and materials, test methods and code requirements. With updated visuals and interactive elements, the third edition includes new segments covering the NAFS Canadian Supplement, Canadian codes and energy, and insulating glass.

There are two ways to achieve this professional certification. The Associate-level includes robust, well-rounded industry content, and the Master-level provides a deeper dive into this highly-technical information. With the FenestrationAssociate® course, participants cover 19.5 hours of industry-aligned training, and no prerequisites are required. With the FenestrationMaster® level course, participants complete an additional 3.5 hours of technical content along with the 19.5 hours of Associate-level information. View the eligibility requirements here.

Candidates have 12 months to complete either program. FenestrationAssociate and FenestrationMaster online exams are available via a remote proctor, so candidates can sit for the exam from the comfort of their own computer. The FenestrationMasters 3.0 certification and practice exams will be available in the first quarter of 2025.

Elevate your expertise in fenestration—and do it on your own time—through online courses from the leading trade association in the industry. Two a la carte courses are also available, which cover NAFS and the fundamentals of insulating glass. If you have training dollars remaining for 2024, or if you want to get a jumpstart on your 2025 education goals, reach out today to learn more.
