FGIA Document Development Finishes Strong in 2024
As 2024 winds down, it is a good time to make sure you have the current versions of the documents that best serve and help shape our industry. Several important FGIA standards were updated this year in FGIA’s ongoing efforts to keep up with the latest technologies and performance demands. Let’s take a look at a few of these documents, whose 2024 versions are now available in the FGIA Online Store.
Click on each document number to read more about what changed from its previous version:
- AAMA 501, Methods of Test for Exterior Walls
- AAMA 902, Specification for Sash Balances
- AAMA 503, Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of Newly Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems
- IGMA/NGA TB-1601, Guidelines for Use of Capillary Tubes

The changing of the calendar does not mean that our work is done. There are more documents that are currently in the final stages before they are published and many more are on the way.
Keep in mind that each of these documents have been developed or updated using FGIA’s consensus process to take into consideration multiple points of view. We always have documents open for review and update which require involvement of our members like you. If you have questions about any documents that might be under review, please reach out to me.
Don’t let your company fall behind. Get these new versions of FGIA documents today.
