GlassBuild is now less than a month away! While this isn’t my first trip to the tradeshow floor, it is my first visit to Las Vegas. I am curious to see how this space differs from the one in Orlando last fall. Most of all, I can’t wait for the chance to connect with members and prospective new members in person. So much of my work is done over phone calls and emails, so it will be great to sit down with people face-to-face!
New to this year’s show, there is a convenient tool to help me (and you!) schedule those face-to-face meetings. Have you tried the new GlassBuild online personal Show Planner? It can help you get the most out of your GlassBuild experience with schedule building, exhibitor connections and personalized recommendations.
Last GlassBuild it felt all too easy to get lost on the show floor. It almost felt like a small city. Through your Show Planner, you can flag exhibitors you want to see. What is really nifty, though? Once you select an exhibitor, they will then be highlighted on your own version of the tradeshow map, visible only to you. It’s a great aid for anyone walking the tradeshow floor seeking to recruit or network with exhibitors. I know it will make it easy to hit all my stops and keep my head on straight as a useful compass!
If you are the one scheduling meetings, like I will be, you can add an event or meeting to your planner yourself and export them into invites for your Outlook or any other calendar. Another extremely helpful feature allows you to add personalized notes to an exhibitor you’ve flagged for your eyes only. This allows you to conveniently prepare ahead of the Show by noting vital details you want to keep front of mind when you connect at the Show together.
Other things I am looking forward to at GlassBuild are FGIA’s sessions on the Main Stage, the Women in Glass session and seeing a live product demonstration by a new FGIA member, FlexScreen/RiteScreen. I also can’t wait to see our members at the receptions FGIA has been kindly invited to, thanks to YKK AP America and Vitro Architectural Glass. Lastly, I look forward to creating new relationships and acting as a bridge to potential new FGIA relationships!
Needless to say, I’ll be using my personal Show Planner quite a lot.
If you are interested in learning more about FGIA membership and how it can benefit you and your company, you can schedule a meeting with me during GlassBuild. You can use my calendly to directly schedule a time that works best for you. Whether you’re looking to explore FGIA membership for the first time, want to better understand our Certification and Accreditation Programs, or make the most of your existing benefits, I’m your direct point of contact. Feel free to reach out. I’m always here to help you get connected!
