AAMA remains material neutral and its documents are universally applicable. While national in scope, AAMA also recognizes the specific needs of different regions of the country through regional membership and meetings with local influencers.

By working with other affiliated associations, such as NFRC and ASTM, AAMA ensures that our members are informed and represented in all aspects of the fenestration industry.

National Code Influence

Through AAMA membership, you have a weighted and respected voice in lobbying efforts with national code writing bodies on the federal, state and local levels. AAMA influences code bodies, government regulatory agencies and addresses liability concerns. The Government Affairs Committee studies the federal legislative activity and informs members of pending legislation. Our Code Consultant monitors the organizations and reports to AAMA membership three times a year to the Codes and Regulatory Affairs Committee.

The Leading Fenestration Association

AAMA is proud to support about 300 manufacturer and supplier members as well as 140 professional members. Additionally, our product certification program, which reported over 50 million labels sold in 2004, includes over 200 companies in over 300 manufacturing locations.

AAMA provides an avenue to actively participate in shaping the direction and future of the industry. Networking opportunities develop partnerships with customers and peers. Plus, members help provide invaluable technical resources for the fenestration industry through performance standards; material-neutral, third-party product certification for windows, doors and skylights; and the testing verification of components. Those taking an active role gain an enormous understanding of issues and processes affecting the industry.

In addition, members receive:
