FGIA has several tutorials for members, detailing processes for things like how to join an FGIA committee or task group, how to access and use the FGVL or how to access meeting and conference call information. We have also started doing some short, instructional videos about how to best make use of our social media channels, including our relatively new Facebook page and our other social media accounts - Twitter, LinkedIn company page and groups and Instagram. A tutorial giving an overview of all four platforms debuted during the FGIA Virtual Annual Conference earlier this year.

This video walks users through how to access all four platforms and what they are likely to find on each. For example, you can search for FGIA by typing “Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance” into your Facebook search bar. Or, you can simply visit facebook.com/FGIAonline for updates on new documents, upcoming events and more.

Find us on Twitter by typing “FGIAonline” into your Twitter search bar. Alternately, you can visit twitter.com/FGIAonline. On Twitter, we share Association news and also live-tweet webinars and conferences.

FGIA also has a LinkedIn page. Just search for the organization’s name at the top of your screen. There, you can see updates from the Association. You can also tag us in your own posts! Plus, we have a public FGIA group and a members only forum for discussions about current codes and regulatory affairs. Search “FGIA - Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance” and “FGIA Legislative and Regulatory Forum” respectively, or click on those links, and request to join.

Finally, Instagram is a great place to see photos from FGIA staff and members. Our handle there is @FGIA_online and you can view our photos at Instagram.com/FGIA_online.

Our next social media video tutorial will cover a more in-depth look at our Facebook page, detailing its benefits and how you can engage with FGIA staff and other FGIA members there. Watch for it during the FGIA Virtual Summer Conference later this month!
