Our first in-person conference in Canada since AAMA and IGMA unified to form FGIA is almost here. In June, FGIA members will be traveling to Vancouver, BC to get a new take on several facets of the fenestration and glazing industries and to meet many of our FGIA FENBC Region members where they live and work. This conference has a jam-packed schedule that ranges from big topics like bird-friendly glass and safety culture in the workplace to off-site activities like whale watching, a tour of an Intertek testing lab and a game night at a local brewery. Registration is now open!

Explore this beautiful Canadian city and network during our many evening and optional events. In-person participants will also have an opportunity to do a glass cutting and washing workshop and learn about the latest in bird-friendly glazing, designs and standards in a panel discussion on the topic. Tuesday night of the conference will be capped off with an FGIA Fun Night of games at Good Co. Brewery – a destination that is only a five-minute walk from the conference hotel.

Another unique feature of this conference is a special one-day registration option on Wednesday, June 14 for companies that hold only an FGIA FENBC Region membership. Registered participants are invited to experience the day of activities from start to finish if they would like, beginning with a deluxe continental breakfast and concluding with an outdoor reception with complimentary wine and beer. Meeting sessions will include the featured safety speaker for this conference, the bird-friendly glass panel, a regulatory and legislative report for both the U.S. and Canada, the glass cutting and washing workshop and several committee and task group sessions. This special registration opportunity is for in-person participation only, so FENBC Region members should be sure to take advantage of the conference’s location and register to access this special line-up of content and learn more about what FGIA offers.

Take advantage of the beautiful weather in Vancouver that time of year. Whether you’ve been whale watching multiple times or never before, the optional outing on Monday is a prime opportunity to sign up for this incredible experience. If that’s not your thing, there will be an Intertek-sponsored lab tour with live demonstrations happening Monday, as well. Thanks to Intertek for providing a food truck lunch for those folks!

Registration for the 2023 FGIA Summer Conference is now open. Book your spot – and your flight and hotel – today!
