The 2019 Joint AAMA and IGMA Summer Conferences offered much in the way of networking with new and existing connections, advancing standards development and learning more about our beloved industry. Now that the fun is over, it’s time to look back at the photos taken by participants. Victoria, BC made for a picturesque meeting location, and between whale watching, Butchart Gardens, a citywide scavenger hunt and dinner at a pub, members and staff alike got some great shots. Here are some highlights, as shared by folks who used the event hashtag #AAMAconf on Twitter and Instagram.

Window & Door appreciated the beauty of the Fairmont Empress, where the conferences took place.

Mark Silverberg got a lovely photo of Kim Flanary’s family at Monday night’s welcome reception.

Kathy Krafka Harkema took pictures of AAMA staff, including Jason Seals, at Butchart Gardens.

VEKA’s Twitter account jokingly thanked the whales of Canada for letting us take a peek into their underwater lives during Monday’s whale watching excursion.

Andrew Haring, Glass magazine, managed to get several nods to Canadian culture in one photo!

Lori Benshoof, AAMA Senior Coordinator, Web Services, took some excellent action shots during a volleyball game at a pub called the Sticky Wicket.
